Grayson SBDC Promotes Small Business Success<\/h2>\n

The Grayson Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a management counseling service for small businesses, funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the State of Texas and Grayson College. We are part of a network of over 1,000 SBDC offices located throughout the United States and U.S. territories.<\/p>\n

Our goal is to assist entrepreneurs in establishing new businesses, creating jobs and boosting economic growth. Our staff is composed of Certified Business Development Specialists with experience and expertise in various areas of business management and development.<\/p>\n

SBDC services include one-on-one advising as well as training classes and seminars. Topics include basics such as how to start a business, developing business plans, creating financial projections and business marketing. For established businesses we also provide assistance related to importing and exporting, government contracting opportunities and accounting and recordkeeping.<\/p>\n

If you are considering starting a small business your first step should be contacting a Small Business Development Center for assistance. Entrepreneurs need an objective ear or \u201csounding board\u201d to help evaluate a business idea. It is very difficult to be thoroughly objective about your idea or product. Ask for help from a trusted third party but be careful that the person(s) you share the idea with will maintain complete confidentiality. Small Business Development Centers were created for the purpose of providing assistance to the entrepreneur or small business owner. Take advantage of their free counseling services. Entrepreneurs and small business owners need a strong team of advisors.
